Facebook launches Messenger Kids for under-13s
Tech Connecto’s Daily news
Facebook today opened up its messaging platform to children under the age of 13. A new app, Messenger Kids, is now available in the US for iOS users. The app is currently available as a preview, and Facebook says that it has worked with parents and groups such as the National PTA to ensure safety. The company also emphasizes the fact that parents are in full control of who their children are able to connect with.
Its good to see that Facebook is taking a few steps forward to make a better community around us. Recently it launched the program to fight porn on Facebook and then it came up with suicide detection program. It is making the good steps but ultimately it is in our hands that how we will use that.
So, ultimately if want to give your children a nice dedicated social app messenger, then try it now. This app is currently in the USA, but I am hoping that this will be available for other countries soon.
